PSEUDOTSUGA DOUGLAS FIR
Menziesii Coast Douglas Fir
The Douglas Fir or Pseudotsuga menziesii is
a tall tree, 100 meters, with a pyramidal crown when young turning
very broad in old age. Its native habitat is British Colombia to
California and western Texas. The needles have an aroma of camphor
or pineapple when crushed. It was introduced into Britain in 1826
by D. Douglas. The hardiness depends on the seed source but our grafts
are on understock from zone 4. The two selections we offer just happen
to be nice weeping varieties.

GLAUCA PENDULA' The light blue needles with a dense weeping
