PSEUDOLARIX
FALSE LARCH

Amabilis
Golden False Larch

Intermediate
Conical
Zone 6
The needles are a light green in spring, darkening throughout the summer. Then in fall they turn a brilliant golden-yellow and drop off similar to Larch. The growth habit is conical and very slow eventually becoming a tree similar in height to Pinus strobus. It was introduced in 1852 from China but still is quite rare. Absolutely stunning fall color! (zone 5 or 6)
